    Hello Allie,
I appreciated your pics of La Roche de Glun and the area of Valence. I and our family lived in La Roche from 1986 – 1998 when we moved to the Alsace. We then returned to the States in 2000. I am giving a presentation to a group of french speakers here in Portland, Oregon on Thursday. Your pics brought back a lot of memories, especially the classroom in the Ecole Primaire where my three oldest children attended school. Hope your stay in La Roche was an enjoyable and beneficial experience.

    Sincerely,
    David Stevens

    Allie,
My dad is the one who just commented in the above blog. He told me about this website which of course because of my background sparked my interest.
If you have a second, would you mind sending me an email informing me of how you got plugged into teaching in France along with what sort of education you pursued (masters in teaching? french?)
    Thank you,
    Mary Lynne

Thank you both for your comments! This is definitely a beautiful area of France and I was lucky to get placed here. I would be happy to email you about my background. What is your address?

Allie: I just read your article on the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Guthrie, OK. Beautiful pictures. However, I do take exception to your characterization of Oklahomans as not being used to opulent homes. Please look around and tRy not to make statements that you cannot suppport. I am afraid you gave the impression that Oklahomans still live in sod houses. Just keep it real.
